“The Legacy of Brahms” was recorded at Nola’s Studios, New York. It was probably made in one day, with few if any alternate takes. One of the test press- ings is dated 30 December 1964, so this was probably the date of the session.

To avoid compromising the original sound, no attempt has been made to suppress the slight surface noise of the disc
